Easter Morn

Easter morning this year started with baskets then church as a family followed by an egg hunt indoors. (It rained a lot the night before so the Easter bunny wasn't sure how squishy the ground would be and very obligingly left the eggs inside)

I love picking out super cute Easter outfits for the kids! And here's a rare one of me ;) (Thanks hun!)

Princess had the whole egg hunting thing down in about 30 seconds flat.

Mini was already a professional so E.B. hid some of his pretty well.

Professional Egg Hunters

We started this Easter season with the huge egg hunt in a town near ours. This year our friends Sunflower and Lily and their mom drove up to go hunting!

Although it was cold the rain held off and we had a great time tramping around the woods together.

We finished off the afternoon at a great local restaurant where they give the kids free cotton candy for dessert!

Getting Too Big

I'll admit it I've been trying to hold onto every last moment of Princess's baby days. I still get glimpses of them but more and more I am starting to see this little girl emerge. She is developing an opinion on everything from clothes to which cup to drink out of. And her vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds: door, upstairs, baseball are all new this week. But the one thing I had yet to cave in on was shoes until the other day. She's been wearing Robeez for many many months now and has a few pairs that still fit and are in good shape and are so danged cute. But it was time to get her some shoes with hard soles so we could go to the playground. So we stopped at the outlets and let her pick out a pair of sneakers (see note about opinions above) and a pair of sandels for summer. And of course my girly girl picked out the ones with sparkles!!

She LOVES them. Wants to wear them all the time and sometimes I catch her just admiring her feet. And they are pretty cute, as only teeny tiny girl shoes can be.

Man do I love my little peanut so much!!!

Babysitting Buddies

What's best about having awesome mom friends? We help each other out in a pinch. And I am seriously lucky to have some amazing friends!!! Recently we helped Dolly and Moose's mom out so she could go to her clinical rounds for nursing school! She was looking mighty spiffy in her scrubs when she left for the hospital ;)

Princess and Moose had a grand old time just sitting and being best buddies.

And Mini and Dolly settled in for a short TV time which they decided meant they each got to pick one show. The kids were all so well behaved, as we would expect of course :)

Bruiser

Princess walked in front of Mini's swing at the playground! Got her first black eye! Poor girl but she does look really tough ;)

Towards the Hockey Goal

Mini is still loving ice skating. And fortunately since we live near an indoor rink he can skate year round. He's about to start his third set of lessons. And once he finishes passes this level he can take the pre-hockey class! He was playing in the house the other day but we had to put it away because of "high sticking" his Dad, sister, and me. Anyway, I never did post pictures from his first graduation so here's a couple of pictures from each. He especially loves that he gets a report card at the end of each session, super cool when you're three (ALMOST four)!
