Princess and Sunflower

These two just get along with each other so well. Being that they are only a few months apart they'll be in the same year at school and hopefully be friends for life!!!

They had such a good time playing together. And please blame me if you are offended by their coordinating outfits. When Sunflower's mom pulled out her blue one I just had to get Princess's green one too, it won't be long until they object so I felt like I had to take advantage of the situation ;)

A last glimpse of winter

I never got around to posting most of our winter scenes and since it's well into April now it seems a little late but I was telling my Dad about this one the other day I went looking for it. And it definitely captures the essence of the winter of 2010-11 at our house! Cold, with a lot of snow, and kids (and their mom) just wishing they could escape the confines of the house.

First Dentist Visit
Mini had his first and long overdue dentist appointment recently. He was loving the sunglasses the hygienist let him wear and the fact that he got to hold a truck while she worked on his teeth. He did a really good job and even spit into the spittoon thing (although he did hit the wall behind it on his first try.

And Princess was loving watching all the people coming and going. And then as time wore on she and I amused ourselves playing peek a boo around the corner :)

What got Mini the most excited was the goodie bag with a new toothbrush, SpongeBob toothpaste, and kids flossers in it. He even got to pick a prize from the dentist's treasure chest, a tiny camera with cartoons of animals that flipped when you pushed the button.

Now we just have to work on getting him to stop sucking his thumb. It is apparently really irritating the top of his mouth. Easier said than done so far but we'll keep working on it.

Mummy Where ARE You?
The class I'm taking for school has a major final paper. And as last semester's final paper was written as I pulled an all-nighter I am trying my hardest to get this one done in a more timely fashion. But life is busy right now so in order to get all my research done I had to spend the majority of the weekend at the library, 6 hours on Saturday and 5 hours on Sunday. Potsy was a very good sport but I did get a couple of texts while I was researching...
Saturday's "Mummie where are you?"

And on Sunday, "Where are you mummy?"

Good thing I got both as I was packing up anyway because after seeing my favorite faces I didn't want to study any more I wanted to get home and plant some big wet smooches on those kissable cheeks!

April Fools.... Snow!
All the meteorologists were predicting a big snowstorm for April 1st but I honestly thought they were all in on a big April Fools Joke until I woke up to this!

When I tried to sneak out to take out the garbage Mini snuck out behind me to play. Please notice the leftover Santa pjs.

We did go to play at our friends, Dolly and Moose's, house later in the morning and Mini and Dolly got to play outside for a few minutes.

While Princess and Moose gazed longingly outside, waiting for the day when they could join their big siblings.

Snow snow go away, come again another day... preferably not until November at the earliest please!
On a side note, I would like to point out that both boys are significantly bigger than their counterpart girl friends despite the fact that the girls are both older! We're going to have some big boys on our hands one day ;)
