Front Page: 10 Months Down

Wow, the time just keeps going by so fast. Princess is 10 months old today!

Her favorite toys are her brother's dinosaurs, especially the velociraptors, and the duck magnet. She also loves her stuffed bunny in a carrot car and anything that has buttons she can push.

She likes to play peek a boo and is really getting a sense of humor! She has the cutest smile (almost impossible to catch on camera) when she thinks she's being funny or cute or trying not to get into trouble where she wrinkles up her nose and does a huge toothy smile, I call it her "I'm so cute smile".

Every once in a while she stands without holding on and can easily bend and pick something up off the floor without falling. And she crawls super fast now and gets where ever she wants!!!

She loves her big brother and gives him a humongous smile every time she sees him. But she drives him crazy turning the tv on and off when he's trying to watch, see above comment on pushing buttons!

She has six teeth now and while she'll suffer through baby food it has to be super thick and she really prefers to feed herself. Her little pincher grasp is getting very efficient. She loves grapes, spinach pancakes, and chicken.

Words are starting to come out of Princess' little mouth more often. She says mama, daddy, zame (for Mini), again, girl, more, up, and boo (for peek a boo) plus I think she says her own special version of duck and dinosaur.

She is getting so big so fast! She is an absolute delight!

Relationships: T-shirt Shoot

Mini and Princess have coordinating Big Brother and Little Sister t-shirts. And I tried soooo hard to get a nice picture of them with their shirts, but nothing came out like I really wanted. Yet, when I went back inside I found a ton that made me laugh and a few really nice ones. So here's a few of the ones I like the best!

Things to Do: The Big E

mosaicb18f79f53d08398f9b5164a8cefd5e08c65960cd
Not having grown up in Massachusetts myself (other than when I was really little) I had never experienced the wonders of The Big E. Potsy had gone as a kid and loved it. And I had heard about it from other friends, especially Erika ;) For a few years now I've looked up the dates, considered going and then just never made it.

But this year was different! We piled the kids into the car and took off for Springfield! The traffic was horrendous so we parked a little ways away in a spot where the proceeds went to the high school baseball team and walked from there.

We got there just in time to see the parade which at the end of is a bunch of Mardi Gras themed floats that all toss beaded necklaces, we collected the whole rainbow!!! Mini loved all of them and Princess got to try a couple on but we had to take them right off because that girl puts everything in her mouth these days. Then we headed over to one of the food spots and feasted on brats, steak bombs, homemade fries, a giant pickle, and more.

From there we tried to get in to see the circus but it was all full so Daddy and Mini went on the giant slide. Then they went to one of the petting zoos while Princess and I checked out some of the booths. We made a pit stop to have Big E cream puffs and eclairs. While the boys ate them P and I went off to find cool hoodie towels. We ended up taking a flower and alligator home and they even embroidered the kids names on them for free. Then we tried deep friend oreo cookies and picked up some 5 million thread count sheets (hmmm...) before checking out the wood carving booth.

We were going to head out then but decided we couldn't leave without visiting the midway. We walked all the way down before Daddy beat the Guessing Man game on both his age and weight. Mini begging to play a game the whole way so we told him that he could play one and he chose the fishing game. Between the two games we are now the proud owners of two giant stuffed fish, Pinky and Bluey, and a stuffed frog, Froggie.

On the way out the door we got one last snack, deep fried jelly beans and deep fried butter balls, nothing better than fried food from a fair! All in all it was a great experience, we'll be back next year Big E!!

Things to Do: Bed Tents

All you need is a bed tent to protect you from the Daddy Ticky Monster...
well that and a red plastic attack snake!
